Wait a Minute... You're Bringing Snow Where?

I'm not sure if this is a first, but it sure is unusual.

The legendary Iditarod dog sled race needed a little help this year.

They call it the Last Great Race on Earth.

Dog sleds and drivers braving the elements between Anchorage and Nome in Alaska.

Except this year, they didn't have enough snow.

So they had to load it on some trains in Fairbanks and ship it in.

Iditarod brings snow in by rail to host dog sled race

SNOW DELIVERY: The upcoming Iditarod dog sled race in Alaska didn't have enough snow. So, race officials had 300 cubic yards of snow from Fairbanks brought by train to the race in Anchorage.
