YouTube Reportedly Paid Record Amount For New Justin Bieber Docuseries

Justin Bieber has a 10-part docuseries that is going to debut on YouTube on January 27th. Well, according to Variety, that docuseries reportedly cost the streaming platform a record $20 million! The series, titled Justin Bieber: Seasons, will consist of two new episodes every week for five weeks. So when you break that down, each episode cost YouTube around $2 million. That's believed to be the most money that YouTube has ever paid for content. However, competition is what caused the price to skyrocket. It makes sense for the Biebs to do a docuseries on YouTube though. That's where he started his career and was eventually discovered! To put things into even more perspective, Justin Bieber: Seasons comes in the wake of Apple+ spending $26 million for a Billie Eilish documentary, Amazon spending $25 million for a Rihanna documentary, and Beyoncé's $30 million deal with Netflix.

Gene Simmons Puts Ice Cubes in His Cereal and Twitter Freaks Out

Gene Simmons is making the Internet freak out, and it’s all over his breakfast. He posted a photo on Twitter and to people's horror asked this million dollar question: “Anyone else put ice cubes in their cereal?” Social media had strong feelings about this one. It also escalated pretty quickly because Gene Simmons posted two photos of his not one but TWO cereals: Oreo and frosted shredded-wheat cereals mixed together in a bowl. People were outraged by the mixture as well. The tweets back had everything from suggests to freeze the milk instead and not add ice cubes to how dare he mix two cereals. My favorite two comments though were someone who said, “Whoever thinks it’s odd that Gene Simmons puts ice in his cereal is forgetting that he used to breathe fire at his concerts,” and Gene Simmons' son Nick, who tweeted, “30 years. 30 years watching him do this. This is my life!” LOL!
