Google has released its annual 2020 Year In Search report
Google released it's 2020 Year in Search, which revealed the top trending topics of the year. Kobe Bryant, who passed away unexpectedly in January, was the third biggest search phrase overall. The second most searched phrase was "coronavirus,” and the top most searched phrase of 2020 was “Election Results.” The highest trending TV shows include Tiger King and Money Heist. The Oscars' best picture winner Parasite was the top trending movie, followed by 1917Black Panther was third. In music, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s megahit “WAP” was the top-trending lyrics search. Among video games, Sony’s PlayStation 5 was the #10 overall top-trending search!
Nicolas Cage to host History of Swear Words for Netflix
I've always had questions about this topic so I'm glad it's being tackled! Nicolas Cage will host a six-episode comedic docuseries called History of Swear Words. Each installment will examine the origins, usage, and the impact of a specific curse word from a cultural standpoint. The episodes will be 20 minutes in length and feature celebrity guests such as Nick Offerman and Sarah Silverman. The show will also feature linguists, cognitive scientists, and lexicographers. History of Swear Words is set to debut on January 5th. 

Jessica Simpson making two series about her life on Amazon

Jessica Simpson has signed a deal with Amazon to executive produce a “fictionalized” series and an unscripted docuseries inspired by her tell-all memoir, Open Book. It will premiere on Amazon Prime and feature previously unseen personal video footage that Jessica Simpson recorded over the past decade. The scripted project is inspired by Jessica Simpson's life after her divorce from Nick Lachey and "on the journey to discovering herself."
