Ugly Rumors About Oprah Prompted Her To Respond

Eek! Nasty rumors caused Oprah Winfrey's name to start trending Tuesday night, and it prompted a response from Oprah herself. Here's what happened. A bunch of tweets started getting attention that alleged that Oprah's Florida home had been raided by the police, who were looking into an alleged sex trafficking ring. There's some theories going around regarding how or why this happened. Some fans noted that it may be because of Oprah's friendship with Harvey Weinstein, others blamed the coronavirus epidemic. Regardless of the reason why Oprah became the center of this rumor, she got on Twitter to respond to it all. Oprah tweeted, "Just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing. It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested. Just sanitizing and self-distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody."

Amanda Bynes Is 'Seeking Treatment For Mental Health Issues

Amanda Bynes is focusing on her health. A lot has happened in just one month. On Valentine's Day, she revealed that she was engaged to Paul Michael, a man she met at her former sober living home in late 2019. Just three weeks later, they split up. Then Paul Michael announced they were back together and just yesterday I was telling you how they announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together with a sonogram picture. Well, now those posts have been deleted from their accounts and Amanda Byne's lawyer, David Esquibias, is asking to respect her privacy at this time while she “is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues.” He said,“Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false... We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”

Kevin Bacon Launches 6 Degrees Campaign For People To Share Who They Are Staying Home For

While health officials are encouraging people to stay at least six feet from one another, Kevin Bacon is taking it one step further. He got on social media to remind his fans that we are all just six degrees away from each other as well in light of the popular game, "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon." He launched a “Six Degrees” campaign to encourage people around the world to share who they are staying home for amid the coronavirus outbreak. He said in a video on Instagram, “Hi, folks. You know me, right? I’m technically only six degrees away from you... Right now, like people around the world, I’m staying home, because it saves lives and it is the only way we’re going to slow down the spread of this coronavirus... Because the contact that you make with someone, who makes contact with someone else, that may be what makes somebody’s mom or grandpa or wife sick.” Kevin Bacon explained that everyone has someone that is worth staying home for, and shared that he is socially distancing to keep his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, safe. He held up a sign that said, “#IStayHomeFor Kyra Sedgwick.” He's encouraging his followers to do the same and share a photo or a video with the hashtag explaining who they were staying home for and to tag six of their friends to follow suit.
