Tom Hanks Give Us An Update On Coronavirus Diagnosis

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were the first celebrities to come forward and announce that they have tested positive for the coronavirus. They gave their fans an update yesterday. Tom Hanks shared a photo of them on Instagram from quarantine and wrote, “Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?” Tom Hanks ended his post by referencing a line from his iconic movie A League of Their Own, writing, “Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball.”

Coronavirus Delays And Cancellations Continue

The coronavirus pandemic is still causing cancellations and delays in nearly every part of the sports and entertainment industries. We already practically predicted that most of the talk shows that hadn't already announced they would be taping without audiences have now decided to do the same. From The Ellen Show and The Late Late Show With James Corden all the way down to The Price Is Right halting production for example. The release dates for movies are also being pushed back, including Mulan, The Lovebirds, New Mutants, Antlers and A Quiet Place 2. Their release dates are now undetermined dates. Disneyland, Disney World and Universal Studios are all temporarily closing. All major Broadway shows will shut down four to six weeks (this started last night). Fast & Furious 9 has been pushed back a full year, to April of 2021. Meanwhile, many large cities have started banning all public events. Live Nation also stopped all domestic, international tours until at least the end of March. For example, here in Memphis, Cher's concert has been rescheduled.

Britney Spears Won't Work Because Of Her Conservatorship

Britney Spears reportedly “doesn’t want to work” not because she's over the music industry, but out of resentment for her father, Jamie Spears, and the rules of her conservatorship. According to Us Weekly, “Britney has expressed that she doesn’t want to work again because she doesn’t want to continue to essentially keep herself under the conservatorship... Britney resents that her dad is given a monthly allowance which is around $10,000 a month for his services overseeing her finances.” As conservator, Britney Spears' dad also has power over her multimillion dollar estate, her personal affairs, her relationships, and even her taxes.
