Todd Chrisley And Wife Julie Cleared Of Tax Evasion Charge

Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley seem to have been telling the truth! The Georgia Department of Revenue agreed that the Chrisley Knows Best stars, who had been accused of evading nearly $2 million in state taxes between 2008 and 2016, are innocent! According to the Georgia Department of Revenue, the couple had actually over-paid the state in four of those years, owed nothing for four others and in the end, had a net liability of less than $77,000 in overdue taxes for just one year of incorrect filing. This marks the end of a two-year investigation into the Chrisley's alleged state tax liabilities. Todd Chrisley said in a statement: "Julie and I knew all along that we had done nothing wrong and that when the facts all came out, we would be fine... We're just glad that the Department of Revenue was willing to keep an open mind and look at all the evidence." While these finding are great, the Chrisley's legal issues aren't over just yet. They still face federal charges for allegedly evading federal taxes in the same time period. But for now, this definitely seems to be a step in the right direction.

Alec Baldwin Says He Was Scammed By Statue Of Liberty Boat Tour

Although he's a native Long Islander, Alec Baldwin was taken by what he calls a Big Apple "scam!" Alec Baldwin posted a picture of a ticket he and his wife, Hilaria, "two sharp, savvy NYers," bought at the city's South Ferry for themselves and their four kids to take a boat tour around the Statue of Liberty on Instagram. Well instead, he shared, "we are escorted to a shuttle New Jersey! I kid you not. We paid. Then we read the tickets. NO ON EVER MENTIONED NEW F***ING JERSEY!!!" He wrote to the company, Tours R Us, "This is a scam!" The company has many poor reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp. Accoding to those reviews, you are indeed taken to New Jersey where you wait for a boat to show. The boat does show up, but most of the complaints say that the boat was in bad condition and even seemed unsafe. So much in fact, that the boat has already been kicked out of NYC launching points for its sketchy practices. Well hey, a shuttle bus can be fun too, right?! I wonder if he was able to get a refund!
