The Weeknd will be the next halftime show headliner for 2021's Super Bowl LV! The Weeknd jointly announced the news with halftime show sponsor Pepsi and producers Roc Nation. He said, “We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position... I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year." The pandemic will most likely have an impact on how things are executed, given the large crowds that the Super Bowl attracts, but it's still unclear how the big game will look this year.

Ellen DeGeneres is making people upset that she's still trying to spread her “Be Kind” message. Ellen DeGeneres released a new “Be Kind” subscription box valued at $270 for the holiday season. Ellen DeGeneres said that her box is “all about spreading kindness and highlights brands that do the same.” She's temporarily offering the box for $54.99 plus an additional $15 off with a special code. The box includes a picture of Ellen DeGeneres. People have been vocal on social media how this might not be the best message, let alone campaign to be doing as Ellen DeGeneres is in the middle of revamping her show in light of the toxic workplace scandal that surrounded her all summer long.
Firefighters rush to false alarm at Denzel Washington's home
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a possible fire at Denzel Washington's house this week after smoke was seen coming out of the four-story mansion's second floor. Thirty-eight Los Angeles firefighters, along with one Beverly Hills crew, searched the walls of the 29,000-square-foot home. It was determined that there was no fire and everyone is safe. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras for the source of smoke. No flames were seen. It was concluded that the smoke was coming from one of the furnaces in the home that had been serviced recently and has now been taken off-line. Denel Washington was then able to re-enter his home.
