The Dixie Chicks Have Dropped The 'Dixie' From Their Group's Name

Country music group the Dixie Chicks have decided to change their name! Across the band's social media pages, the women now go by The Chicks. A statement on The Chicks' website said, “We want to meet this moment.” The term Dixie refers to Southern U.S. states, especially those that belonged to the Confederacy. In case you missed it, earlier this month, fellow country band Lady Antebellum announced on social media that they have changed their name to Lady A.

After two anonymous women have come forward and accused him on social media of sexual assault, Justin Bieber is taking them to court... for $20 million! In a filing of a defamation lawsuit against the two Jane Does, Justin Bieber's lawyers are saying that the accusations against him are "factually impossible," and "disproven both by indisputable documentary evidence and the individuals’ own admissions." The filing also says that, because of the timing of the tweets from both of the women, it appears that they each knew what they were going to post and had their accusations ready to go.

The movie is based on the best-selling Scholastic book series, which follows Ms. Frizzle and her class, who go on field trips in their school bus that magically transforms into a plane, submarine, spaceship, etc. It all depends on what the science concept is for the school trip! The animated TV series aired for 18 consecutive years in the U.S. and has been broadcast in more than 100 countries around the world. This will be the first big screen adaptation for the 26-year history of the brand.
