Jamie Foxx to reprise role as Electro

Electro is coming back! Jamie Foxx, who played Spider-Man villain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, is in final talks to reprise the role for the latest Spider-Man installment, starring Tom Holland. This is interesting because by including Jamie Foxx's character in the next movie, that means that Marvel is bringing characters from Sony’s previous Spider-Man universe into the currently-running Tom Holland series of movies. What's even more interesting is that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was blasted by reviewers, including Jamie Foxx’s performance.

JJ Abrams signed on to produce two animated Dr. Seuss movies

Dr. Seuss’ children’s book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, will be getting a feature film adaptation from J.J. Abrams’ company, Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Animation Group! It's one of several movies that will ultimately become an animated universe of movies based on Dr. Seuss’ many inspirational stories. Warner Animation is also going to develop Thing One & Thing Two (which is working title), a spinoff of the characters from The Cat in The Hat. That's expected to be released sometime in 2026, while Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is scheduled for 2027. A Cat In The Hat feature film that’s currently in development will kick everything off sometime in 2024. So oh, we have a long wait to go! HAHA!
