Lebron James To Host Grad Ceremony On All Major Networks

Los Angeles Laker’s superstar LeBron James is ready to celebrate America’s high school seniors, many of whom, because of coronavirus, won’t enjoy a graduation ceremony. He'll be hosting a one-hour special called Graduate Together: America Honors The High School Class of 2020 on May 16th. The program will air across ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and on a bunch of digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, PeopleTV and Complex Networks. The broadcast was curated by high school students and educators throughout the country with the support of the American Federation of Teachers. It will include a collection of commencement addresses, celebrity performances, and inspirational moments. Celebrities such as the Jonas Brothers, Ben Platt, and Pharrell Williams will appear.

Regal Is Joining AMC In Refusing To Screen Movies By Universal

I was worried about this happening. The Regal movie theater chain is joining AMC Theatres in refusing to play any Universal Pictures movies after Universal Pictures promised to open titles on premium Video On Demand and in theaters together at the same time. Cineworld said in a statement, “Universal’s move is completely inappropriate and certainly has nothing to do with good faith business practice, partnership and transparency.” The announcement comes just one day after AMC Theatres said it won’t screen Universal movies either. The moves are in response to NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell’s claim that “as soon as theaters reopen, we expect to release movies on both formats.” Mainly this has to do with the fact that the amount of money that Trolls World Tour made on Video On Demand exceeded Universal's expectations. Trolls World Tour made $100 million in premium Video On Demand rentals in the first three weeks.
ABC Announces Second Disney Family Singalong On May 10th
YES! YES! YES! Two weeks after The Disney Family Singalong delivered had 10.4 million people watching it from their homes on ABC, the network has announced a follow-up that will air on Mother’s Day. The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II will premiere Sunday, May 10th at 7 PM/6 PM Central, with Ryan Seacrest returning as host. The program will feature all-new performances of our beloved Disney melodies by celebrities in quarantine. Celebrity guests and performance details will be announced soon. Just like the last one, this Disney Family Singalong will also raise awareness about Feeding America’s large network and resources for people in the country who need help and are facing hunger for the first time because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
