Jillian Michaels Responds To Lizzo Fans Accusing Her Of Body Shaming

Celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels is speaking out after she was accused of body shaming Lizzo during an appearance on live TV. In short, Jillian Michaels questioned "why are we celebrating her body" and not her music. She even said, "it isn't gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes." Fans tore her apart for those comments, and Jillian Michaels got on Twitter hours later to address the controversy. Her response though was pretty much her standing by her comments. Jillian Michaels said, "As I've stated repeatedly, we are all beautiful, worthy, and equally deserving. I also feel strongly that we love ourselves enough to acknowledge there are serious health consequences that come with obesity - heart disease, diabetes, cancer to name only a few. I would never wish these for ANYONE and I would hope we prioritze our health because we LOVE ourselves and our bodies." That's creating even more controversy, with people writing her back and saying things such as, "Equating fat with automatically being unhealthy & slim with being healthy is inaccurate & incredibly dangerous. Fat people deserve to exist without the pressure to change their size or *health.* Fat people don't need to desire to change their bodies to be deserving of dignity." What side are you on?

Aretha Franklin's Son Slams Biopic Starring Jennifer Hudson

Aretha Franklin‘s youngest son Kecalf Franklin is speaking out against an upcoming biopic about his mother. In a Facebook post that he wrote in all-caps, Kecalf Franklin slammed the movie, which is titled Respect and stars Jennifer Hudson. He wrote: “Once again….. the Franklin family does not support the movie that is in production!!!!! Nor do we support the book The Queen Next Door!!!!! Neither entity felt the need to contact the core family about anything!!!!” What is well-known though is that Aretha Franklin herself selected Jennifer Hudson for the role, and that her family has given it's blessing to both projects. Aretha Franklin’s attorney and lead counsel for the estate is saying that Kecalf Franklin is simply trying to because the personal representative of the estate. What a mess!
