Kevin Hart Won’t Host The Academy Awards

Even though there were rumors that the Academy wanted Kevin Hart to still host the Oscars after he stepped down, he won't be changing his mind to do it after all. This is even after Ellen DeGeneres revealed on her show to him that she personally put in a call to the Academy to see what could be done to rectify the situation. Kevin Hart felt that he not only needs to take a stand on the situation but also that he would become a distraction that night and would have very little time to prepare for the gig. You can watch what Kevin Hart had to say about his decision to not host the Oscars below. However, the Academy has now made the decision to not have a host at all. Instead, they will enlist some of the biggest names in the business for that night to present awards.

Britney Spears' Las Vegas Residency Has Been Canceled And It Could Cost Her Millions Of Dollars

Britney Spears announced on Friday that she wouldn't be performing her new Las Vegas residency. It came as a shock to everyone, especially to her fans who already bought tickets. The 31-show run was scheduled to start February 13th and as of right now, it's unclear whether it will be revived at a later date. Britney Spears made the decision to walk away in order to take care of her father, who is recovering from a life-threatening illness. She released a statement that said, “I am dedicating my focus and energy to care for my family. We have a very special relationship and I want to be with my family at this time just like they have always been there for me." Two months ago, her father, Jamie Spears, was taken to the hospital after his colon ruptured. He was admitted to surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery.
