Alex Trebek dies at 80 after battle with pancreatic cancer

Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek, died on Sunday following his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80-years-old. The official Jeopardy! Twitter account confirmed the news, adding that he was surrounded by friends and family. Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards described Trebek's death as an "enormous loss." Richards said, "His belief in the importance of the show and his willingness to push himself to perform at the highest level was the most inspiring demonstration of courage I have ever seen... His constant desire to learn, his kindness, and his professionalism will be with all of us forever." Alex Trebek had been the face of Jeopardy! since 1984. His last episode is set to air on Christmas Day.

Awkward! Johnny Depp has withdrawn from Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them 3 at the request of Warner Bros. This move comes after Johnny Depp's loss in a libel case against The Sun newspaper. The trail included allegations of infidelity and domestic abuse. The judge sided with the newspaper and Johnny Depp's ex-wife. Johnny Depp put a note up on social media that thanked “everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty,” and added that he was “humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days.” He continued, “I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request." The new sequel is due in 2022.
