There were no doubts that Kelly Clarkson is essentially superwoman, but after flawlessly hosting the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday through brutal appendicitis pain, fans are even more positive than before.
Shortly after the curtain closed on the BBMAs, news started to swirl that the “Broken & Beautiful” singer was in some serious discomfort throughout the whole event – even through immaculate performances of two songs.
Clarkson took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that the rumors were true. She flew home immediately after the awards show and went into surgery to have her appendix removed. “Bye bye appendix #TheShowMustGoOn,” she tweeted.
Fans are offering their get well wishes for the songstress on Twitter. Many of them explained that their own experiences with appendicitis left them bedridden, making Clarkson’s seemingly effortless performances on Wednesday night even more unbelievable.
