Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
After the Jonas Brothers wrapped their live performance and the Billboard Music Awards ended, the crew and friends headed over to Chapel L'Amour in Las Vegas, Nevada where Turner, 23, and Jonas, 29, were married by none other than an Elvis impersonator, Turner's publicist confirmed to CNN. The whole ordeal was streamed through Diplo's Instagram Live.
Diplo's videos begin by showing a live performance of "Speechless" by Dan + Shay with Joe Jonas accompanied by brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas lined up before the altar just as the ceremony begins. The footage then shows a giddy Turner alongside an eager Jonas as they excitedly recited their vows. Nick Jonas can be seen on the sidelines, all smiles. Chuckles filled the room as the two anxiously stammered their way through a Vegas wedding ceremony.
As preparations for the BBMAs began the day before, Jonas took a moment to put the moves on a photo of Turner, which resulted in a hilarious Instagram video post.
Apparently, the two had been considering getting hitched all day, as online records show that they had gone to apply for a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada earlier in the day, just before their BBMAs appearances.
